Scouting Report: Mike Hart, RB, Michigan
Mike Hart is the sentimental favorite of this draft for me. The senior from Michigan grew up close to me, went to high school where some of my neighbors did and I watched him play plenty over his career. I was actually there for his first game and did not miss many during his four years in high school. Just like others who I have talked about before, Mike Hart is not your prototypical NFL back; he is undersized. On the other hand, the young man has the power to move the line and his speed is okay for the NFL.
Scouting Report
Pros: Ten years ago this young man might not be looked at by anyone; however with the new fashion in the NFL being the two-back system, he might just find a place where to play.
Cons: The size aside, he did not do much out of the back field as far as receiving goes; that might be one negative too many for some teams.
Overall: Because he can do most everything well, even if nothing the best, Hart in the right system could be one of those players that clings on for a while in the NFL. How long, I do not know.
